Refund and Exchange Policy
At Draped in Nairobi, we take pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our bridal gowns. Due to the custom nature of our dresses, all sales are final. Please read our refund and exchange policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations.
1. No Refunds or Exchanges
1.1. Final Sale: All bridal gowns are made to order and tailored specifically for each bride. Therefore, there are no refunds or exchanges once the dress has been worn, damaged, altered, or in any way defected after delivery.
1.2. Alterations: Once a dress has been altered, it is customized to the bride’s specifications and cannot be resold or exchanged. As such, no refunds or exchanges will be offered for altered dresses.
2. Conditions for Refunds
2.1. Missed Fittings: Refunds are forfeited if the bride fails to attend the scheduled fittings and the final fit of the dress is incorrect as a result. It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure attendance at all fittings.
2.2. Unclaimed Dresses: If a bride does not contact Draped in Nairobi to pick up or request the shipment of the final dress and the wedding date has passed, no refunds will be issued.
2.3. Change of Mind: If a bride decides not to wear the dress after purchase, no refunds will be provided. Once a purchase is made, it is considered final.
3. Refund Investigation Process
3.1. Quality Control: Because significant fabric, material, and labor go into the creation of each dress, all refund requests are subject to an extensive investigation process. Quality control and inspections are thoroughly conducted prior to the final shipment or pick-up.
3.2. Investigation Timeline: The investigation process can take several weeks to ensure all factors are considered fairly. Refunds will only be issued if it is determined that Draped in Nairobi is at fault, and the amount will be decided based on the results of the investigation.
4. Shipping Policy
4.1. Shipping Insurance: We strongly recommend that brides purchase shipping insurance for the full price of the gown to protect against any potential shipping damages, loss of package, or late delivery. While Draped in Nairobi takes every precaution to safely package dresses for shipment, we cannot guarantee that damages will not occur in transit.
4.2. No Liability for Shipping Damages: Draped in Nairobi is not liable for any damage that occurs during shipping once the dress has left our facility. It is the responsibility of the bride to ensure that proper shipping insurance is in place.
